Shoe Manufacturing

Inside the NABOLY factory — natural leather, in-house lasts and a production line built over three generations in Hebron.
Shoe manufacturing

One roof, every stage

The NABOLY factory in Hebron handles the whole process — from raw hides to finished, boxed pairs. Keeping cutting, closing, lasting and finishing under one roof means we control quality at every step and can build orders to a customer’s exact colour and size breakdown.

We combine natural leather and experienced craftsmen with modern machinery, so the result is consistent pair after pair without losing the character of hand-cut leather.

The process

From hide to box

01

Cutting

Every hide is inspected and laid out by hand before the pattern pieces are clicked. Tight, even leather goes to vamps and straps; softer areas to linings.

02

Closing

Uppers are stitched on industrial machines by closers who have worked the same models for years. Straps are skived, folded and edge-finished before assembly.

03

Lasting

Uppers are pulled over lasts developed in-house for our sizes and fits, then heat-set so the shape holds through years of wear.

04

Sole attachment

Soles are cemented or stitched to the lasted upper depending on the model — rubber for work boots, lightweight units for sandals.

05

Finishing

Edges are trimmed and dyed, uppers cleaned and creamed, and every pair is checked, sized and boxed for dispatch.

Materials

Natural leather, chosen for the job

Full-grain and corrected-grain cow leather for uppers, softer leathers for linings and footbeds, and rubber or lightweight synthetic soles depending on what the shoe has to do. We buy hides in the colours our customers ask for — the current range runs to more than twenty.
